CASE STUDY

An identity is a very personal thing. Some may favour a more traditional look and feel whilst others prefer a more bold and daring approach. Sometimes a logo is not required and instead a beautiful typographic treatment is preferred.

We created an identity for the yacht Cruiskeen, which is moored in the Mediterranean. The owners wanted something that would be timeless and in keeping with the Mediterranian location.

A cruiskeen is an old Irish word for a stone jug that holds whisky. We took the image of the stoneware jug and combined that with an image of the sea to create a simple yet elegant icon. The distinctive typographic treatment of the name references it’s Celtic heritage and a sophisticated colour palette uses earthy tones paired with a rich navy blue.
